As part of its efforts to become a leader in the decentralization of the internet, Tron Foundation has decided to integrate with CoinPayments.net to enable users make purchases on BitTorrent and uTorrent with major cryptocurrencies.

The announcement came in a post on Tron Foundation official Medium page. With this integration, Tron intends to take its BitTorrent and uTorrent customers’ experience to the next level as it strives to dominate the cryptocurrency and blockchain world.

BitTorrent is a consumer software company based in San Francisco that provides a file-sharing communications protocol based on a peer-to-peer network. The company was founded in 2004 but was acquired by Tron in July this year and since then the Tron Foundation has been working to improve on the services it provides.

With its integration with Coinpayments.net, a world renowned leader in integrated gateway payment for cryptocurrencies, Tron’s over 100 million users will be getting a better user experience in paying for products on BitTorrent.

Founder of Tron and BitTorrent CEO Justin Sun said:

“BitTorrent joins a growing list of online companies whose products and services accept TRX as payment. With BitTorrent’s over 100 million users, the move helps increase the use of TRX in online marketplaces while giving consumers more options to unlock value from BitTorrent’s premium products.”

Users can now pay for both BitTorrent and uTorrent products and can pay for one-year subscriptions for Ads Free products and Pro for Windows, which includes anti-virus and anti-malware screening, file converting and playability in HD in Tron (TRX), Binance Con( BNB) and Bitcoin (BTC).

Tron is determined to decentralize the internet and its specific aim with BitTorrent is to enable third party content providers to interact with consumers directly on the internet. With the new products and partnerships that the company has in place in 2018, it seems it is well on its way to becoming the world’s top blockchain in decentralization of the internet in the near future.

The question is which company will be Tron’s next ally in its quest to decentralize the internet and make it fair for both content providers and end users?
