On June 25, cryptocurrency prices were mixed green and red. The global cryptocurrency market cap has risen to $1.39 trillion over the past day. However, the crypto market volume for the last 24 hours has decreased by 16.27 percent.
All stable coins now account for $61.04 billion, which is 77.8 % of total crypto market volume. Bitcoin’s current price is $32,640.73, and its dominance at 46.63% is an increase of 0.01 percentage over the previous day.
This is after AfriCrypt (a South African investment firm) allegedly defrauded Bitcoin fund investors of $3.6 million. Bloomberg reported that the founders and brothers of the investment platform have fled the country.
Hawks, the South African police force was alerted by an investor who hired Hanekom Attorneys from Cape Town to help them trace the brothers. The police also warned other cryptocurrency exchanges worldwide that the brothers could attempt to convert the digital currencies to cash.
