Bitcoin trades at 6 percent higher than $49,000 and has gained more than 1 percent per week.
Ethereum gained more than 17% in the last week and Dogecoin climbed over 4 percent.
Billionaire hedge fund manager John Paulson described cryptocurrencies as a “bubble” that would prove to be “worthless”.
