Ethereum Co-Founder Vitalik Buterin Awarded With Honorary PhD By Swiss University

One of the oldest Swiss University, the University of Basel, known for producing great minds like philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche and psychiatrist Carl Jung awarded Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum Blockchain with an with an honorary doctorate.

The Faculty of Business and Economics grants Buterin an honorary degree for his “outstanding achievements” in the fields of cryptocurrencies, smart contracts, and the design of institutions. The university announces it through a tweet:
