Scammers Get Away With 1.5 Million XRP Tokens From Ledger Users

Users of crypto wallet provider Ledger have lost about 1.5 million XRP tokens worth $285,000 to scammers. Fraudsters have attacked the provider using phishing attacks where users are tricked with emails. The emails then direct users to a fake website which looks like the original. The unsuspecting users are then tricked into downloading malware, draining all the funds in their wallets. 

XRP Forensics commented on the theft in a tweet. Noting that the scammers substituted the letter ‘e’ in Ledger’s domain name. The team :
